Turning down a gravel drive way set back from the hustle and bustle of Scenic 61, you'll find Spokengear Cyclery and Outdoor. We're a small, independently owned, full service bike shop tucked into an expansive grove of cedar trees. We're passionate about the great outdoors and all things bicycle, and we're here to be your resource, both online and when you visit us in person.

learn more about gravel riding

Over the last 10+ years, riding gravel has become a very popular way to enjoy time in the saddle on your bike. With an expansive network of gravel roads in the region, it has never been easier to weave together a ride that will suit your needs. Be it a quick after work jaunt or an all-day century ride, there are plenty of resources available now to help you get your bike dirty on some scenic backroads.

If you find that you like the crunching sound of gravel under your tires, perhaps consider participating in the local gravel classic, the Heck of the North or any of the other events hosted by Jeremy Kershaw.

If racing isn’t your thing, utilize www.ridespot.org and gravelmap.com to piece together your next favorite loop.

We host an occasional Sunday Gravel Ride - from the novice to the experienced rider, we try to accommodate everyone.  Routes vary each week but are normally 15-40 miles.  Like Spokengear on Facebook and join Spokengear Ride Group for notices and ride updates.
