spokengear resources
Turning down a gravel drive way set back from the hustle and bustle of Scenic 61, you'll find Spokengear Cyclery and Outdoor. We're a small, independently owned, full service bike shop tucked into an expansive grove of cedar trees. We're passionate about the great outdoors and all things bicycle, and we're here to be your resource, both online and when you visit us in person.

The Gitchi-Gami State Trail
When completed, the Gitchi-Gami State Trail (GGST) will be an 89-mile non-motorized, paved recreational trail between Two Harbors and Grand Marais, Minnesota, along Lake Superior's beautiful and historic North Shore. Completed segments of the GGTA currently total over 29 miles. The longest completed section is the 14.1 mile segment between Gooseberry Falls State Park, northeast of the town of Beaver Bay. You can consult the trail map for details. We often recommend this section for a nice ride using our rental bikes. However you will need to transport the bikes to the Gooseberry Falls Visitor’s center. From there, you can ride as far as you like, stopping along the way at Iona’s Beach and Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.
Trails around Two Harbors
Two Harbors hosts a few excellent paved trails around town, with access right from our parking lot! You can ride a paved trail from our shop all the way to the municipal campground, through Lake View park and on to Lighthouse Point and the break wall for a casual day trip.
